  • Forum locked To Anyone Registering for this Bulletin Board
    This site is being targeted by spammers. It's not as bad as the last time because the spammers have to register in order to post anything and this usually deters them. The problem is that I have to "allow" each new member before they can use the board. I certainly don't want to give these spammers permission to use the board and sometimes it's very difficult to tell which users are legitimate and which are not.

    Spammers normally use really random usernames, but sometimes it's hard to tell. So, if you have registered with this discussion board and you have not received entry with your username and password, please let me know by calling (619) 933-3789 (leave a message with your username) or email me at editor@backcountrymessenger.com with the words Discussion Board as the Subject.

  • Proposition 8
    Proposition 8 is an initiative measure on the 2008 California General Election ballot that, if passed, would amend the California Constitution to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry. The measure as submitted for the ballot by petitioners is called the "California Marriage Protection Act."[1][2] The ballot title, as prepared by the Attorney General Jerry Brown, is "Eliminates Right of Same-sex Couples to Marry."

    In this forum those who wish to do so may give their opinions on this Proposition.
