To Anyone Registering for this Community Forum Board
This site is being targeted by spammers. It's not as bad as the last time because the spammers have to register in order to post anything and this usually deters them. The problem is that I have to "allow" each new member before they can use the board. I certainly don't want to give these spammers permission to use the board and sometimes it's very difficult to tell which users are legitimate and which are not.
Spammers normally use really random usernames, but sometimes it's hard to tell. So, if you have registered with this forum board and you cannot access entry with your username and password, please let me know by calling (619) 933-3789 (leave a message with your username) or email me at editor@backcountrymessenger.com with the words Community Forum as the Subject.
Please register by clicking on "Register" above.

Short Stories & Articles
I have created this forum as a place to post short stories and articles that I receive as editor of the Back Country Messenger. Sometimes articles are too long or not quite suitable for our family newspaper, or we just have a lack of space. We hope you enjoy them and maybe even add one or two of your own.

Wind turbines are being suggested as a source of power for the Back Country. There has been much discussion about this and additional discussion through this forum is encouraged. We welcome your thoughts.
