The BCM Photo Contest is a community project sponsored by the Back Country Messenger to increase awareness of the activities, events, sites and history of the back country with the ultimate goal being to help stimulate the local economy by allowing generous discounts to businesses and non profit groups to purchase and sell the items that will be produced for sale. The photos will be used for post cards, posters, greeting cards and other printed items that will be available for sale at local gift stores and museums.
1. All entries must be sent electronically either by email, uploaded to our ftp upload site or brought to our office on a CD or portable drive. We also like to receive a 4"x6" (hard copy) of your photo as well.
2. All entries must be in one of the following formats: JPG, GIF, TIF, PDF or PSD.
3. Photos should be of the local back country area, its back country residents, animals, scenery or spots of interest. Photos may be black and white, sepia or color.
4. Old family photos in good condition that depict our area are also accepted. They must be scanned in and made to the specifications in #2 above. (We can do this for you if you don’t have the capability yourself.)
5. All photos must include information about the photo, the author's name, mailing address and phone number.
